Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of renowned sarod player Ustad Shahadat Hossain Khan.
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister said musician Ustad Shahadat Hossain Khan will be remembered in the musical arena.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for the salvation of the departed soul of the noted artiste and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Ustad Shahadat Hossain Khan died at a city hospital on Saturday night at the age of 62.
Shahadat Hossain Khan was born in Cumilla in 1958 in a family of great musicians of the sub-continent. He is the son of famous musician and sitar player Ustad Abed Hossain Khan and the grandson of Ustad Ayet Ali Khan.
