SSC exams marred by distribution of ‘wrong question papers’
Dhaka, Feb 2 (UNB) –Gross mismanagement marred the first day of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations, as candidates at various centers across the country were given the wrong question paper sets according to a different syllabus.

Error in admit card hits Dakhil examinee in Chandpur
Chandpur, Feb 2 (UNB) – A madrasah student of Baharia village in Sadar Upazila on Saturday tried to commit suicide by hanging herself after being failed to sit for this year’s Dakhil examination as her admit card was not issued before the exam due to an error in the name of her mother.
The student is Runa Molla, daughter of Nuru Molla of Baharia village in the upazila and a student of Lakshmipur Mohammodia Dakhil Madrasah.
Runa’s father said that her daughter tried to commit suicide as she could not attend the examination as her admit card for the Dhakhil examinations could not be provided before the exam.
Madrasha office assistant Abdul Khalek Hawladar said the admit card of Runa was sent to Dinajpur for correction.
However, madrasah superintendent Ahsan Ullah could be contacted as his phone was switched off.
Omar Faruk, victim’s uncle said his niece has lost one year of her educational course due to the negligence of the institution.
Victim’s father filed a written complaint with Chandpur Model Police Station and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Office in this regard.
