2 brothers killed over land dispute in Sirajganj
Sirajganj, Dec 8 (UNB) -Two brothers, who were injured being beaten by their rivals on Friday following dispute over land at Kodalia village in Chauhali upazila, died on Saturday.
Bagerhat Jamaat ameer among 6 held
Bagerhat, Dec 8 (UNB) - Police arrested six Jamaat-e-Islami leaders and activists, including its district unit ameer, from Chitli Boitpur area in Sadar upazila on Saturday.
The arrestees are Maolana Rejaul Karim, the ameer of Bagerhat district unit Jamaat and Jamaat activists Emad Uddin, Mizanur Rahman, Maniruzzaman, Sagiruddin and Badaruddin, hailing from different places in the district.
On information, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested them along with five crude bombs and locally made sharp weapons, said Bagerhat Police Supper Pankaj Chandra Ray.
