MediaTek or Snapdragon Chipset: Who Will Win the Race in 2022?
Processor is one of the key factors to consider while choosing a Smartphone. Qualcomm Snapdragon and MediaTek are some of the best chipsets found in the standard phones built by the most popular brands. In 2022, it is expected that Qualcomm Snapdragon's latest chipset 8 Gen 1 will establish the benchmark for top Android smartphones. MediaTek, meanwhile, is preparing its own new big-boy processor, the Dimensity 9000. The chipset fight is expected to be a silicon carnage, with the incumbent securing an easy win, or so consumers may assume. Recent benchmarks provide a reason to be optimistic. Let us verify them.
The Specialty of Snapdragon Chipset Advancements in 2022
Here are all the key features and specifications that could possibly come with the next Snapdragon chipset advancement.
Power and Performance
To begin, the CPU has been enhanced by 20% over the previous generation. It also consumes 30% less power. This will improve overall performance and preferably longer battery life on a smartphone.
Read Best Screen Brightness Control Apps, Software to Relax Your Eyes
The CPU is the brain of a phone, responsible for daily functions like starting up and launching applications, as well as navigating the operating system. Improved CPU performance should result in a phone that is sleeker and more responsive than prior generations.
These are not the most dramatic increases in performance we have seen from a new Qualcomm platform. As the Snapdragon 888 Plus was already one of the most powerful CPUs on the market, we weren't expecting a dramatic increase here.
Qualcomm continues to prioritize artificial intelligence technologies, and the firm is teaming with Google Cloud to integrate Cloud Vertex AI Neural System Architecture Search capabilities into the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform.

Camera Features
The majority of the intriguing upgrades to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 are in the camera, which enables manufacturers to offer a whole new range of functions to your smartphone's snapper.
This chip's image signal processor (ISP) has been enhanced to accommodate 4,096 times more camera data than prior generations. Previously, the Snapdragon 888 used a 14-bit ISP; this one uses an 18-bit one.
These four additional bits provide increased dynamic range, which should help you to capture images with brighter brilliant parts and deeper dark areas.

Gaming
Another significant enhancement is in gaming, with the addition of a 4x quicker AI engine than the Snapdragon 888. It will be fascinating to watch how this plays out in practice.
The Adreno GPU is 30% faster than the previous-generation chipset, while Vulkan is 60% quicker. This effectively means you will be able to get into your games faster, and they will operate more smoothly than on earlier devices.
Compatible Devices
Numerous phones are expected to employ the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, and five have been verified so far. The Xiaomi 12, a new Motorola Edge smartphone, Oppo's forthcoming flagship, OnePlus's next flagship, and the Realme GT 2 Pro are among them.
Read Top 10 Brain Training Games for Android and iOS
The Xiaomi 12 is the first phone to have the chipset, while upcoming OnePlus and Oppo phones are expected to include the OnePlus 10 and Find X4, respectively. The new Motorola Edge is a little more sophisticated, and there are indications that this may be a China-exclusive smartphone.
Cons of Snapdragon Chipset
The recent thermal throttling concerns on chipsets may affect the planning of different phone manufacturers to launch their flagships in the first quarter of 2022. Both the Snapdragon 888 and its overclocked variant, the Snapdragon 888+, were previously made using a 5nm process and suffered from overheating concerns.
The current flagship chipset is built on the lower 4nm node, which means that everything within has shrunk somewhat. Expecting the procedure to result in a cooler smartphone is unrealistic, considering that phone manufacturers would need to develop a few choices for improving performance through software interventions, as OnePlus did earlier this year to address overheating on its flagship device.

They are making improvements to their CPUs to make them more energy-efficient, but they continue to lag behind Snapdragon. However, the company has said that it has taken care of all the issues with its upgraded chipset.
MediaTek or Snapdragon: Which chipset will deliver better performance in 2022?
Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G and 888+ 5G chipsets were more than sufficient for 90% of customers. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and MediaTek Dimensity 9000 both seem to be very powerful. It is worth noting that both chipsets' main cores are Cortex X2, while the Cortex X1 on the Snapdragon 888 already had some significant heating concerns. So, in the race between two companies, the shared spot will still be the same.

Besides monitoring health indicators like Heart Rate, Blood Pressure; modern smartwatches offer sophisticated functions like sleep monitoring, which informs you of the quality of your sleep and other pertinent information. However, people are unsure whether or not to wear their Smartwatch to bed. This article discusses the benefits and drawbacks of using Smartwatches on a regular basis.
Should You Wear a Smartwatch on a Daily?
Smartwatches are safe as long as their owners take care of them. In a word, these gadgets are miniature computers worn on the wrist. As with any technological gadget, their potential for damage is contingent on how they are used. Having said that, there are still areas of worry, including radiation exposure and potential health complications. Let's look at them and learn how to prevent them.
Disadvantages of Smartwatches
Smartwatches Can be a Cause of Cancer
In 2015, The NY Times published an article asserting that wearing a wristwatch might cause cancer. According to the publication, the assertion was made in response to a 2011 statement by the! According to an RC, mobile phones may be carcinogenic to humans. According to the assertion, both mobile phones and smartwatches both emit radiation. They both represent a danger to people.
Read Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G: What Will It Offer?
However, the assertion was later shown to not be proper. The notice itself includes a footnote noting that the decision is based on circumstantial evidence. Since then, research has been published concluding that there is currently no evidence that radiofrequency radiation causes cancer in cells, animals, or people. Additionally, wearables such as smartwatches emit lesser energy and frequencies than smartphones.
Smartwatches as a Threat to the Health
Previously, research indicated that mobile phone radiation might have an effect on the body. This might manifest itself in the form of headaches, mood changes, and sleep disturbances. The reason for this is that smartwatches also produce radiation. Additionally, they may offer long-term health hazards. Additionally, some folks have reported experiencing headaches and nausea after wearing the watch for an extended period of time. Additionally, some individuals have difficulty maintaining a regular sleeping pattern while wearing the watch.
According to a study, exposure to high EMF radiation might result in headaches and nausea. That's why it is suggested that users use airplane mode on their smartphones while not in use. Sleeping issues are also a regular occurrence among smartphone users. This is often the result of excessive usage, which results in decreased productivity and rest.

Benefits of Wearing a Smartwatch
As the technologies applied in Smartwatches are designed to make life simpler, they may be quite useful when used wisely. This is true not just for daily tasks but also for your general health and well-being. A smartwatch, depending on your choices and requirements, could be a very useful companion item. Here are two significant ways in which these watches might enhance your life.
Ideal Health Partner
Due to the fact that these smartwatches are current fitness trackers, one of their primary duties is to assist you in tracking your fitness progress.
This is why most smartwatches include capabilities such as sleep monitoring, sleeping schedules, pedometers, heart rate monitoring, vibration massage, diet and planning, calorie intake, etc.

These tools assist you in tracking your progress and even assisting you in controlling your diet. Additionally, some come with accompanying workout routines. When utilized properly, they may assist you in developing healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices.
Daily Companion
Apart from keeping you healthy, smartwatches double as portable computers. This means they perform similarly to current smartphones but with the extra bonus of portability. Depending on the sort of wristwatch you buy, these gadgets are utilized for everyday chores such as calendar management and social media monitoring.
These smartwatches can also link you to the internet, and some may even assist you in making or receiving calls. To do this, some smartwatches connect through Bluetooth to your phone, while others are standalone devices with their own SIM card and cellular capability. So, users don't need to be cautious or to worry as long as they are careful and manage their consumption. Additionally, it is crucial to ensure that the model you are using has met all applicable safety regulations and is manufactured by a trustworthy business. Therefore, feel free to enjoy your wristwatch.
Motorola Moto Tab G70 Review: Best Mid-Range Android Tab in the Market?
Motorola is not new to the tab segment. The company has made a steady space for itself starting with the Moto Tab and Moto Tab G20. However, both these devices were entry-level ones aimed at the budget segment. But the Moto Tab G70 is a game-changer considering there are not many android tabs in the mid-range budget market. The device was initially released on 13th January in China with subsequent dates announced for other regions. So, is the Moto Tab G70 any good? Let’s find out.
Motorola Moto Tab G70 Key Features
Design and Build Quality
There was a time when tabs used to come in one standard size. They were large and chunky. But just like Apple iPads, android tabs have had a revolutionary change over the years. Now tabs come in different sizes, aspect ratios, and computational power. One thing that became standard is that tabs are now thin, like really thin. And that is exactly what Motorola is selling here. A capable tab that is just 7.5 mm thick.
Beyond its ridiculously slim design, the device has a 10.17-inch width with a 6.42-inch width. The slim bezels all around aid in the premium look of the device.
Read Best Screen Brightness Control Apps, Software to Relax Your Eyes
The premium look from the front is carried to the back as well. The back has a dual-tone finish of matte stainless steel and rubber-like material. It not only enhances the look of the device but also ensures that the device is comfortable to hold. Speaking of comfort, the device has quite a heft at 501 gm. However, the even distribution on the large footprint makes it comfortable to hold for a long time.
The volume rocker is situated at the right of the device. The power button rests on the top. There isn’t any fingerprint security here, just the standard face unlocks. This phone is provided with 4 speakers in total. The Dolby Atmos graded stereo speakers make for an impressive listening experience. Overall, the device feels much more premium than its mid-range price tag.

Display
The main attraction for any tablet is the display. And Motorola did a superb job here as well. Tabs do not require high resolution to be a better display as the display areas are usually high. Moving on from its previous iterations, the G70 has 1200 x 2000 pixels FHD+ resolution. The display issues 221 PPI which might not seem like much. But the 11-inch display more than makes up for the pixel density.
The display looks crisp and sharp. It is still an IPS panel clocked at 60 Hz. But considering tabs are purpose-built devices, the 60 Hz shouldn’t be a problem for most. Much of this is aided by the fact that this display has very thin bezels. It looks sleek and modern and allows a large display at a small footprint. The viewing angles are excellent. The device can get to a max brightness of 400 nits. It is perfectly legible in direct sunlight so outdoor usage will not be an issue.
Read: Best Screen Brightness Control Apps, Software to Relax Your Eyes
Motorola has made the G70 primarily for daily functionality and media consumption. The large display with a long aspect ratio makes it perfect for YouTube and Netflix anytime at the convenience of a few taps.
Camera
The camera is never the main focus of any tablet and this one is no different. There is a single 13 MP 26 mm f/2.2 shooter at the back with a single flashlight. This is just the bare minimum considering tabs are not built for photography in the first place.
However, the camera can still take some decent shots in outdoor and brightly lit conditions. But it's nothing mentionable under artificial light. This tab is best suited for document scanning and casual captures. As expected, it will not perform in the likes of Apple or Samsung phones.
Read Vivo V23 Pro Review: Does the quality concur with the look?
However, the biggest improvement here is the front camera. Most tabs come with a minimal 5 MP camera. Some even have a VGA camera which is as useless as it gets. But Motorola has included a standard 8 MP 1080P shooter with the G70.
Now, this might not be all that great spec-wise but it gets the job done. It definitely upgrades the video calls and meeting experience to the point that it can be used as a primary office device in these days of social distancing and work from home setup.
Processor and Performance
The G70 comes with a MediaTek MT6785 Helio G90T processor. This mid-range processor is built on the 12 nm architecture. It has an octa-core setup with 2 2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 and 6 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 chipset. The processor is coupled with the Mali-G76 MC4 GPU.
Read Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G: What Will It Offer?
As a mid-range processor, the device can handle moderate to intensive games quite easily. Graphic intensive titles like PUBG, Asphalt 9, and COD run without any frame drop. Combined with the large display, the device makes for a pretty fun gaming experience. There is not any noticeable heating or rapid battery drain issue as well.
Day-to-day tasks work smoothly as expected. Most of the OEM android tabs come with a heavy skin on top of the Os which often bogs down the performance. However, the G70 uses bare stock android based on Android 11. This keeps the UI/UX experience lighting fast with a pleasing performance.
Overall, this device will be able to handle most of what is thrown at it without a hiccup.
Read Vivo Y15s Review: Is this budget phone worth buying?
Battery and Charge Time
The Moto Tab G70 features a 7700 mAh battery. Considering the 12 nm processor, a bit larger battery would’ve been the cherry on the cake. But the 7700 mAh can still power the device for a full day of use. There is a 20W included fast charger with the device so charging is a breeze as well.
Price of Moto Tab G70 in Bangladesh
The Motorola Moto Tab G70 has not been officially launched in Bangladesh yet. Judging by the official Indian market price, the device is expected to be priced around 25,000 BDT in Bangladesh.
Read: OnePlus 10 Pro Review: Does it live up to the expectations?
Verdict
The Motorola Moto Tab G70 addresses some of the key issues from their previous tabs. It has also emerged as a new contender for the mid-range tabs section. The tab offers some impressive design, display, and performance. However, the battery could have been a bit larger. Overall, this is a nice device for people looking for a day-to-day usable tab at a moderate budget.

Motorola Moto G71 5G Review: Is it a worthy budget phone?
Motorola has come back to the competition with a brand-new 5G smartphone, the Motorola Moto G71 5G. Considering all the features and aspects of the phone, this is without a doubt one of the finest smartphones around its budget range. Popular manufacturers Xiaomi, OnePlus are introducing their new smartphones at a premium price, whereas Motorola is offering devices under affordable price ranges, keeping their users in mind. This year, the Motorola G71 has been released and has already hooked public attention. So, let's delve into all the features that come with the Motorola G71 5G and discuss the pros and cons.
Key Features of Motorola Moto G71 5G
Here are the crucial elements and performance factors of the new Motorola venture. Consider them all before making the purchase decision.
Design
The Motorola Moto G71 has an attractive water-resistant design. The color hues complement each other wonderfully and contribute to its pleasant appearance. Ardent buyers can pick among three alternative colors for the Motorola Moto G71 smartphone: Arctic Blue, Neptune Green, and Iron Black. All of the colors seem to be highly professional and improve the overall appearance.
Read:Motorola Moto G51 5G Review: Know the Pros and Cons
The phone's entire weight is merely 179 grams, making it a featherweight device. The Motorola Moto G71's thickness is merely 8.5 mm, indicating that it has a thin body. Users will experience complete ease operating the phone and will be able to comfortably use it for a long time during a voice or video chat.
Display
The Motorola G71 5G has a 6.40-inch AMOLED display with a pixel density of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display features a peak brightness level of 700 nits and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Motorola did not specify whether it has utilized display protection on the front or not. However, the company has given it a plastic frame and plastic cover.
Motorolla has placed a fingerprint sensor on the back despite the AMOLED panel. The fingerprint sensor responds quite fast, which means that unlocking the smartphone will be a breeze. To judge the refresh rate, users should know that a 60Hz AMOLED display is always preferable to a 120Hz LCD panel.
Read Best Screen Brightness Control Apps, Software to Relax Your Eyes
Additionally, the display is bright enough to be seen in direct sunshine. Motorola has employed a high-quality display throughout, ensuring that there will be no issues whether playing games or watching movies.
Rear Camera
The Motorola Moto G71 sports a triple camera system. The main lens is PDAF 50 MP (wide) and features an 8 MP ultrawide 118-degree lens paired with a 2 MP macro camera. Thus, the rear camera is fairly excellent and capable of recording high-quality photographs and movies. By the way, to acquire higher quality photographs or movies, a properly illuminated setting is important. The camera features the functionality of HDR along with LED flash.
The back camera of this smartphone can shoot films at 30fps and of 1080 pixels quality. Though the back camera provides HDR features, no HDR support is provided for the selfie camera. Sadly, users won't be able to record 4K video with the cameras. Alongside, you will compromise with the video steadiness since there is no gyro-EIS support.
Read Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G: What Will It Offer?
The photographs shot with the main camera can obtain a great combination of vivid colors and realistic tones. Additionally, you can expect a pleasingly wide dynamic range here, although the photographs appear a little contrasty and excessively processed at times. Additionally, the enormous sensor size resulted in a shallow depth of focus, which means that users may capture a good degree of background blur without switching to portrait mode. The negative is that you will occasionally need to step back when getting close-up shots with the main camera.
Font Camera
To begin, there is a 16 MP wide lens on the selfie camera. Thus, users may snap attractive photographs or assist you in sharing clear films with their friends and family over a call. Motorola has also added many unique portrait modes on the phone, all of which are rather attractive. It is not faultless, but it had a little issue with the pop-up colors on the background objects.
The skin tone of a person was notably changed in portrait shots, which was most likely caused by exposure or white balance adjustments. The front lens's overall performance is superior to that of its competitors. Users will have no complaints about the application's attempt to make a photograph seem conventional and groovy.

Performance
Snapdragon 600 Series CPUs were previously inexpensive, but they have completely transformed the game. Motorola's G71 5G smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's all-new Snapdragon 695 SoC and runs Android 11. The phone will soon get an Android 12 upgrade, and according to some recent sources, the majority of Motorola smartphones will begin receiving Android 12 updates in February 2022.
Because the Snapdragon 695 SoC outperforms the Snapdragon 750G, there will be no performance issues while playing games or even when using the phone in daily life. In summary, do not be misled by the processor's name. In general, the Motorola G71 5G will operate admirably in daily life; you will have no issues when using the smartphone.
Battery, Charging, and Others
Motorola has assured that your phone has a robust battery that will keep it awake all day. A single charge of the Li-Po 5000 mAh battery will provide you with enough power for a whole day. Additionally, there is support for a 30W rapid charge, which may recharge your battery to almost 100% in less than an hour. Motorola Moto G71 has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick and accurate device locking and unlocking. Additionally, a proximity sensor, an accelerometer, and a gyro sensor are included.
Read Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge Review: What’s New?
Among the Motorola Moto G71's additional external features are WLAN, 5.0 Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and GALILEO. NFC support is also included, albeit its use varies by locale. Additionally, the FM Radio, USB Type-C 2.0 connector, and 3.5 mm jack connectivity are worth highlighting.
Price of Moto G71 5G in Bangladesh
The phone series is still not officially available in Bangladesh. This phone costs Rs. 18999 in India. When translated to BDT, the price stands at 21,950. The conversion rate is 1.16. The price may vary due to tax issues and company policy.
Bottom Line
Without question, the Motorola Moto G71 5G is a good value-for-money gadget that justifies its Rs 21,950 price tag. Bear in mind that the phone lacks stereo speakers, has a plastic back, and lacks a compass sensor. Therefore, if you're comfortable with these disadvantages, go ahead and get the Moto G71 5G; otherwise, consider the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, a 4G smartphone. Thus, if you're seeking a smartphone around BDT 21,000 in Bangladesh, the Motorola G71 5G is a viable alternative.
