BGB battalions 11 and 2 in separate drives recovered 4.6 lakh Yaba pills in Naikkhonchhari upazila of Bandarban in the early hours.
The paramilitary force also recovered around 20,000 pills from Hrila Kharangkhali of Teknaf upazila here.
Besides, Rab members recovered 1 lakh Yaba tablets from a fishing boat at Cox’s Bazar channel of the Bay of Bengal around 12 noon. They also detained four Rohingyas at that time.
The detainees are Enayet Ullah, 28, Karim Ullah, 32, Rashid Ullah, 22, and Hamid, 20, of Hakimpara Rohingya camp in Ukhiya upazila, said Rab-15 company commander Major Mehedi Hasan.
Over 100 Yaba traders, including 10 relatives of former MP Abdur Rahman Bodi, who have been kept at a police safe house, are going to formally surrender to police on Saturday.
Separately, around 50 other Yaba traders are likely to turn up at a ceremony at Teknaf Pilot High School ground, according to police.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan will attend the surrender progreamme as the chief guest while Inspector General of Police Dr Javed Patwary will be a special guest, said Superintendent of Police of the district ABM Masud Hossain on Friday.
