With the mentionable participation of former and running cadets, the daylong programme started with a colourful procession from the university administrative building and ended before the law faculty building after marching past important intersections and points of the campus, said a press release.
CU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury inaugurated the programme addressing as chief guest while CU Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Shirin Akhtar addressed as special guest presided over by CU BNCC (Naval) Chief Professor Dr Towhid Hossain Chowdhury.
CU BNCC Coordinator Lt Col Professor Dr M Shafiqul Alam, CU BNCC (Naval) unit’s former cadets organization Anchor CU President Mohammad Borhan Uddin, and Anchor CU General Secretary Sontos Kumar Chakma spoke in the discussion of the programme among others.
Apart from the discussion session, cultural programme and special honourary crest giving ceremony was also held in the programme where about 350 former and existing cadets took part.
A special magazine titled Nongor was published on the occasion.
Founded in 1993, BNCC (Naval) CU platoon has been around for 25 years.
Such celebration on this occasion will inspire the present cadets that it will be a great get-together for the former cadets, expressed the participants.
