"Drivers, transport owners, passengers and law enforcement agencies have to remain alert for keeping roads safe round the year," Palak said at an event marking National Road Safety Day at a city hotel.
Pathao Limited, a local ride-hailing service provider, and Access to Information (a2i) programme jointly organised the "Safety Fast " event to raise awareness about road safety.
Palak also said that there are 4.5 crore students in schools, colleges and universities of the country. “Children and youths are the future of Bangladesh. Awareness should be created among them.”
Cricketer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, MP, Brand Ambassador of Pathao, said that road safety is very important for everyone. "So we all have to remain alert. We all need to work together to bring discipline on roads and highways," he added.
