Health authorities, by the time, reported 1,499 new cases of Covid-19 after testing 12,345 samples.
The fatality rate in Bangladesh is now 1.45 percent while the daily infection rate stands at 12.14 percent.
So far, 3,71,631 patients have been detected in the country since March 8 after testing 20,13,776 samples and 18.45 percent of them have turned out to be Covid-19 positive.
The country saw the recovery of new 1,651 former Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours till Tuesday 8 am which pushed up the number of total recoveries across the country to 2,84,833.
A media release sent by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) provided the latest information confirming that the recovery rate has climbed to 76.64 percent in Bangladesh.
Currently, there are 83,393 active cases in the country.
Bangladesh is seeing 2,182.13 infections, 1,672.47 recoveries per million while 31.74 are dying against the same number.
Of the total victims, 4,175 are men and 1,230 are women. Among the latest victims, 24 are above 50 years of age.
So far, 2,729 people have died in Dhaka division, 1,096 in Chattogram, 355 in Rajshahi, 442 in Khulna, 191 in Barishal, 234 in Sylhet, 246 in Rangpur and 112 in Mymensingh divisions.
Across the country, 14,134 people are now in isolation and 41,667 in quarantine.
In Bangladesh, the first three cases of coronavirus infection were detected on March 8. The cases reached the 300,000-mark on August 26.
The first death was reported on March 18 and the death toll exceeded 5,000 on September 22.
Global Situation
The confirmed Covid-19 cases have exceeded 35.3 million globally, with over 1 million fatalities and more than 24.5 million recoveries, according to the latest tally.
The confirmed Covid-19 deaths in the USA have surpassed 210,000 as of Tuesday morning, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (JHU).
With the national caseload topping 7.4 million, the death toll across the United States rose to 210,155, according to the JHU data, reports Xinhua.
The worst-hit New York state reported 33,214 fatalities, at the top of the US state-level death toll list.
Each state of Texas, California and New Jersey recorded more than 16,000 deaths. Besides, fatalities in Florida exceeded 14,000, the tally showed.
States with more than 8,000 fatalities also include Massachusetts, Illinois and Pennsylvania.
The United States remains the nation hit the worst by the pandemic, with the world's highest caseload and death toll, accounting for more than one fifth of the global cases and deaths, respectively.
The US death toll reached the grim milestone of 100,000 on May 27 and hit 200,000 on Sept. 22.
More than 20 US states reported a spike in new cases compared to last week, as health experts urge the public to exercise caution when they move indoors during the colder days of fall and winter.
The virus, which causes the respiratory infection Covid-19, was first detected in the city of Wuhan, China, in late 2019.
The outbreak spread quickly across the globe in the first months of 2020 and declared a global pandemic by the WHO on 11 March.
