A worker in Sherpur and a woman in Chattogram, who died recently, tested negative for coronavirus.
In Sherpur, Civil Surgeon Dr KM Anwar Hossain said Abdul Awal, who died with fever and cough on Monday, tested negative and the lockdown on his neighbourhood has been lifted.
The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) confirmed the matter after testing his samples, he said.
In Chattogram, Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said Arfa Begum, 55, died with cold, fever and breathing complication at the isolation unit of Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) on Tuesday.
No trace of COVID-19 was found in samples taken from her, he said.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh confirmed its sixth coronavirus death and three new cases on Wednesday. The country has so far recorded 54 cases.
