Benapole, Mar 19 (UNB)— An alleged hundi trader was arrested with $10,000 from Benapole check post on Tuesday.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) identified him as Kabir Matabbor, 38, son of Munsur Ali, a resident of Faridpur’s Bhanga upazila.
BGB conducted a drive in Benapole check post Terminal area in the afternoon acting on a tip-off and arrested Kabir, said Lt Col Salim Reja, commanding officer of BGB-49.
Kabir was handed over to Benapole Port Police Station. A case has been filed in this connection.
