DU Business Studies faculty organised the conference with the theme: “Shaping the Future through Inclusive Development” for the third time.
DU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the conference as the chief guest while Dean of the DU Business Studies faculty Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam presided over the opening session.
Vice-chancellor of United States International University, Kenya Prof Dr Paul Tiyambe Zeleza and Vice-Chancellor of Al Ain University of Science and Technology, UAE Prof Dr Ghaleb A El Refae addressed the conference on the opening day as special guests.
Prof Partha S Ghosh of Tufts University, USA delivered the keynote speech while Co-Chair of the Conference Organising Committee Prof M Sadiqul Islam gave vote of thanks.
In his speech, the DU VC urged the professionals, academicians and researchers to play an effective role in building an inclusive society through overall development of the country. “We have to produce skilled human resources for ensuring sustainable development, poverty reduction, quality education and sustainable industrialisation,” he said.
Academicians and researchers from Bangladesh, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and India are participating in the conference.
