Islamic University, Feb 23 (UNB) - Tarek Hasan Al-Mahmud, an assistant Professor of Information and Communication Engineering department of Islamic University in Kushtia, has received best research award in China.
iFly Tek, a world renowned information technology based company, announced the name of Tarek for the award, IU Information Publication and Public Relations Office director M Ataul Haque said on Saturday.
University of Science and Technology of China handed over the best prize to the IU teacher in a prize giving ceremony.
A competition comprising with three phases including laboratory, selection and final rounds was held at the university.
Earlier, the directors of laboratories in China sent thousands of research to a jury board. Among them, 20 researchers have been selected for their final presentation.
Meanwhile, IU Vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari congratulated Tarek for his achievement.
