Stressing need for raising awareness about the coronavirus situation through counseling at the union and upazila levels of the country, the Minister said 95 percent people of the country are following the decision of the government and it should not be right to evaluate Bangladesh by seeing thousands of people at the ferry ghats in the country.
Mentioning that under the courageous leadership of Sheikh Hasina, the coronavirus situation in the country is still at a tolerable level, the Minister said there are no irregularities in the country which will be considered an inspiration in future.
Bangladesh on Saturday reported its highest number of deaths for a single day of the pandemic, 28, for the second time in less than a week. The total eath toll has risen to 610.
The country also saw further rise in coronavirus cases with the detection of 1,764 new cases during the same period, taking the total number of cases to 44,608.
