Thakurgaon Civil Surgeon Dr Abu Md Khoirul Kabir said the team arrived in the afternoon and would conclude their inspection within three days.
Five members of a family died between February 9 and February 24 in the village. The cause of their deaths remains unclear, creating panic among the locals.
The six-member team is from Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).
It includes IEDCR Veterinary Research Officer (Epidemiology) Dr Md Kaisar Rahman, Research Officer (Anthropology) Shahnaj Shanu, Research Associate (Anthropology) Md Abir Hossain, Field Research Assistant Abdullah Al Mamun, Medical Technologist Rashidul Islam and field Technician Abdul Hye.
They will try to find out the origin of the disease and how it spread, Civil Surgeon Kabir said.
He said Nipah virus was found in one of the victims.
