“Jatiya Oikyafront doesn’t want the continuation of democracy in the country. They’re hatching conspiracies against democracy,” he said while talking to reporters after laying the foundation stone of union land office ofDharkhar union in Akhaura upazila in the afternoon.
Replying to a query, the minister said they were considering taking steps to bring back BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman who was sentenced to life imprisonment in the August 21 grenade attack cases.
Earlier, Ansiul visited a Durga Puja mandap in Akhaura municipality area.
He also handed over cheques for donations to committee members of 21 temples on the occasion of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community, which will end on Friday with the immersion of the idols of Goddess Durga in rivers and other water bodies.
