Officer-in-charge of Kabirhat Police Station Mohammad Hasan said they handed over the case documents to the DB on Monday.
Meanwhile, police sought a seven-day remand for three accused – victim’s stepbrother-in-law Abdur Rob Hossain Manna, Md Selim and Harun-or-Rashid -- who were arrested on Sunday following information gleaned from prime accused Zakir Hossain.
However, the court did not pass any order on the remand pleas today.
A human chain was formed the Majidee Town Hall intersection of the district town demanding exemplary punishment of the offenders.
District unit of Nari Mukti Kendra organised the programme at noon.
In another development, the victim’s husband who was in jail in a case filed under the Explosive Substances Act was released from jail on Monday on bail.
Later, he went to Noakhali General Hospital to accompany his wife.
Talking to reporters, he sought exemplary punishment of the criminals.
Zakir along with his three accomplices broke into the victim’s house in the early hours of Saturday taking advantage of her husband's absence. They held the victim and her three children hostage and raped her in turns.
They also looted Tk 60,000 and some gold ornaments from her house, the victim said.
Soon after the incident, the victim, 36, filed a case with Kabirhat Police Station and police arrested Zakir the same day.
