The exhibition was jointly hosted by Kala Kendra, an art gallery run by artists and Artitude, at its gallery in the city’s Mohammadpur area.
Eminent photographer Nasir Ali Mamun inaugurated the exhibition which was curated by Wakilur Rahman.
Mahmuda Tuli is a freelance photographer, who graduated from Pathshala South Asian Media Institute in 2017.
This photographic body of work entitled ‘State of Mind’ has begun in the middle of 2014 as a self-portrait series.
Mahmuda Tuli said, “Self-discovery is an intriguing journey, one that I constantly struggle to get a grip on. With this series, I had tried to capture different shades of myself, using colour, object and movement to explore the malleable nature of the human mind.”
The series will help to define her mood swings and the evident energy within oneself and the surroundings, she added.
Three solo photography exhibitions were held in different times alongside showcasing photographs in the home and abroad. Tuli also published a photo-book titled ‘FOOD, By the Grace of Allah’ from renowned publishing house Oitijjhya.
The solo photography exhibition will remain open from 07 September to 03 October 2018 every day from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the gallery at 1/11, Iqbal Road (3rd Floor), Mohammadpur.
