Indian High Commission in Dhaka has already introduced an application form to give permission to Bangladeshi tourists who want to visit those restricted places, said an official.
Tourists have much interest about these two places though they were restricted in the past.
Any Bangladeshi visa seeker while applying for visa will have to fill up a form and submit it to get the permission for Sikkim and Ladakh, according to the Indian High Commission.
Meanwhile, India wants to get enlisted the new integrated state-of-the-art Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) at Jamuna Future Park (JFP) in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Efforts are on to that end, said an official of the State Bank of India which is operating the visa centre.
Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh along with his Bangladesh counterpart Asaduzzaman Khan formally opened the centre by handing over passports with Indian visas to a couple of visa applicants in July this year.
The Indian High Commission in Dhaka issued 14 lakh visas last year.
The High Commission issued 9.76 lakh visas in 2016 and today Bangladeshis constitute the largest number of visitors to India.
Additional Route Endorsement
Indian High Commission here has taken an initiative for additional route endorsement at Indian Visa Application Centres (IVAC) that will begin on November 22.
All the requests for additional route endorsements on valid visas will now be accepted at all IVACs across Bangladesh.
The processing charges of IVAC for this service will be Tk 300, said the High Commission on Tuesday.
All the IVACs will have a separate counter to facilitate submission of applications for route endorsements.
An applicant can request for two additional routes, in addition to the existing 24 international airports and Gede/Haridaspur rail and road route.
The forms are available on the website of the High Commission of India and the Indian Visa Application Centres.
The High Commission of India, Dhaka or the Assistant High Commissions in Chattogram, Rajshahi, Sylhet and Khulna will no longer accept applications for additional route endorsements.
