“I’ve already spoken to Cumilla police chief. We’ll take steps to boost security at courts in all the 64 districts,” Law Minister Anisul Huq told reporters on Tuesday after the fifth session of the third day of deputy commissioners’ conference at the secretariat.
He said the government is considering introducing 30 percent independent prosecution service and bringing the PP GP under payroll. “The proposal has already been sent to the Finance Ministry,” he said.
Huq noted that there is a huge communication gap about the ongoing cases. “Steps will be taken to reduce the gap. I’ll talk to the Attorney Generals so that quick measures are taken.”
The Law Minister mentioned that a team of assistant attorney generals comprising five to seven members will be formed who will communicate regarding cases in 64 districts.
