Dhaka, Oct 1 (UNB) — Bangladesh under-19 to face their New Zealand counterparts in the second game of the five-match series at Lincoln on Wednesday.
Bangladesh are leading the series 1-0 as they won the first game by a big margin of six wickets on Sunday at the same venue.
Pace-bowler Shoriful Islam and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury were the main architect of Bangladesh’s first win of the series. Both bagged three wickets in the game to bundle New Zealand for 176.
In reply, Bangladesh captain Akbar Ali hit an unbeaten 65 and helped his team seal the game by six wickets. Bangladesh ended on 178 for four in 38.4 overs.
The remaining matches of the series will take place on October 2, 6, 9 and 13 at the same venue.
