Deputy Commissioner Md Jakir Hossain formed the three-member committee headed by Additional District Magistrate Sonia Binte Tabib while superintendent of Joypurhat police Rashedul Islam formed another three-member committee headed by additional police super Uzzal Kumar Roy.
The deputy commissioner’s committee asked to submit its report with three days while police committee to submit the report within 24 hours, according to sources at the district administrator’s office.
Earlier on Wednesday, eight people including three members of the family were burned to death as a fire broke out at the house in Aramnagar area of the district around 9 pm following short-circuit.
Inspector Sirajul Islam of Joypurhat Fire service and Civil Defence said the fire originated from an electric short-circuit at the house of Abdul Momin, a poultry trader, and it spread soon, leaving three people dead on the spot and five others injured.
Later, all the victims died on way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 5:30 am.
