Official sources said there was a “fruitful discussion” on sending workers in all sectors of Seychelles in a fair, systematic and responsible way.
Both sides agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the meeting held at the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment.
State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmed assured Seychelles representatives of taking necessary steps for safe and regulated labour migration.
Participants of the meeting hoped that both sides would benefit if Bangladesh’s labour market expands.
Employment Department principal of Seychelles Government Jules Baker, Foreign Affairs Principal Dr Marina Confait and Chief Immigration Officer Michel Elizabeth were among the Seychelles representatives.
