BNP has extended the suspension of its organisational activities, including the formation and restructuring of its committees at all levels, across the country for another month due to coronavirus prevalence.
Party senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement in a statement on Friday.
Rizvi said they have decided to keep suspended BNP’s organisational activities, including its overhauling process, until June 25 as the coronavirus cases continue to spike in the country.
On March 22, BNP announced to suspend its organisational activities amid the coronavirus shutdown until April 15. Later, it was extended till May 25.
Though the party has no organisational activities, its leaders and activists have continued distributing relief materials and Eid gifts among the needy people.
Rizvi distributed relief materials among the destitute in the city’s Uttara and Nayapaltan areas on Friday.
