Senior Judicial Magistrate SM Shahidullah Kaisar passed the orders following petitions filed by police.
Inspector (Prosecution) of district police Bijon Kumar Barua said investigation officers appealed to the court for showing Giasuddin arrested in the two violence cases filed with Hathazari and Rangunia Police Stations while Aslam in another case filed under Hathazari Police Station in 2013. The BNP leaders’ lawyers filed bail petitions.
After hearing, the court granted the IO’s petitions and rejected the bail pleas, he said.
Giasuddin has been in jail after his surrender on November 22 in five cases filed on charge of threatening to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Meanwhile, Aslam was arrested on May 15, 2016 from the capital after several local newspapers had published reports attaching more than one photographs of the BNP leader’s meeting with Israeli influential leader Mendi N Safadi in India.
Later on May 25, police filed a sedition case against him for his alleged involvement in a plot to oust elected government through illegal means.
