He also called upon political parties to refrain from indulging in mudslinging and play responsible roles.
Quader made the call at a virtual media briefing from his official residence.
“Unity will be our main strength in dealing with coronavirus as the virus will not show show pity to anyone,” said the road transport and bridges minister.
About cyclone Amphan, he said that following the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, all necessary preparations have been taken to save lives and minimise damage.
He requested the people of the coastal districts to face the situation with courage.
Expressing grave concern over people traveling to their respective homes ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr defying government’s restriction, Quader said, “This sort of gatherings can create extremely catastrophic situation.”

The minister called upon owners for paying salary and bonus to workers and journalists before Eid.
