“The discussion on seat sharing will continue, and we hope Jatiya Party will get a satisfactory number of seats of the Grand Alliance,” he said.
Howlader came up with the comment while speaking at a views-exchange meeting at Jatiya Party’s Banani office.
He said he had a meeting with Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader today in a very cordial atmosphere over sharing seats in the upcoming general election.
Howlader went to Awami League’s Bangabandhu Avenue office in the morning had a marathon meeting with Quader there.
He said the list of the Grand Alliance candidates will be revealed within a very short time.
Earlier talking to reporters after meeting with Quader at AL office, the Jatiya Party secretary general said their party wants to remain with Awami League giving less important to the number of seats they may get.
He said they discussed the issue related to seats they want from the grand alliance.
Asked how many seats they have been offered, Howlader said, “We’ve got many seats, and will get more.”
