“A political vacuum has created now in the country, and people are looking for a political force in favour of them. So, we’ll fulfill people’s hopes and aspirations by taking programmes in people’s interests,” he said.
Quader came up with the remarks while speaking at a meeting in memory of Jatiya Party founder HM Ershad at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh.
He urged Jatiya Party leaders and activists to get united and work for strengthening their organisational capacity as the party has a scope to turn out to be a strong political force.
Describing various activities carried out for the development and welfare of the country by his late brother during his nine-year rule, the Jatiya Party chief said, “Dead Ershad is much stronger than the living Ershad.”
Jatiya Party secretary general Moshiur Rahman Ranga said their party is united under the leadership of GM Quader. “We won’t spare those who want to create a division between GM Quader and Raushon Ershad.”
