The Golam Rabbai Choton’s girls, which conceded a narrow 0-1 goal defeat against hosts Thailand in their first match last Sunday, today (Wednesday) went down by 0-5 goals in the first half.
In the day’s match, Maiko Hamano, Momoko Nebu and Ririka Tanno struck two goals each while captain Moe Ota, Manaka Hayashi and Kyono Hironaka scored one each for Japan.
In the day’s match, Bangladesh got an early blow while Manaka Hayashi opened the account for Japan in the very 2nd minute of the match (1-0).
In the 6th minute, Maika Hamano doubled the margin scoring her first goal (2-0) while Moe Ota netted the third goal in the 17th minute for Japan (3-0).
Japan continued their domination and struck two more goals before the half time.
Hamano netted her 2nd goal in the 23rd minute (4-0) and Momoko Nebu scored her first goal in the 43rd minute (5-0).
In the second half, Kyono Hiranaka scored the sixth goal for Japan (6-0) in the 49th minute.
Just after two minutes, Nebu struck her 2nd goal in the 51st minute (7-0).
Ririka Tanno netted twice in span of one minute in the 60th and 61st minute to seal the comfortable (9-0) victory.
Bangladesh, put in four-team Group A alongside the host Thailand, Australia and Japan, will play Australia in the last group match on Saturday (Sept 21) at IPE Chonburi Stadium.
In day’s other match, Australia, which played to a goalless draw against Japan in their first match, dominated the first half by 4-0 goals against hosts Thailand on Wednesday.
After the match, Three times champions Japan dominated the group table with unbeaten record securing four points from two matches, followed by Australia, Thailand and all losers Bangladesh.
