Hosts Bangladesh completed their five-nation first Bangamata Asian Senior Women’s Central Zone International Volleyball campaign with winning note beating Kyrgyzstan by 3-2-sets in their 4th and last match at the Shaheed Suhrawardi National Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday.

Earlier, Bangladesh women’s team were eliminated from the meet after conceding two successive defeats, losing to Nepal by 0-3 sets in the 3rd match and suffering 0-3 sets defeat against the Maldives in the 2nd match after making a flying start beating Afghanistan by straight 3-0 sets in the opening match.

In the day’s other match, Nepal smartly reached final of the meet with all-win record beating the Maldives by straight 3-0 sets in the last league match. 

Despite the day’s first defeat in their 4th match, the Maldives also reached the final as the 2nd best team. 

Nepal will play the Maldives in the final on Thursday (Nov 14) at 3 pm while Bangladesh will face Kyrgyzstan in 3rd place-deciding match on the same day at 1 pm.

Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak will be the chief guest in the final and later he will distribute the prizes.
