Dhaka, Mar 6 (UNB) – The two-day Bir Muktijoddha Razab Ali Khan 3rd National and Invitational Masters Athletics Competition begin on Friday (March 8) at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here.
Youth and Sports Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Harun-ur-Rashid will inaugurate the meet on Friday afternoon where President of Bangladesh Athletics Federation ASM Ali Kabir will also be present as special guest.
Some 400 men’s and women’s athletes of the country alongside a 50-member contingent from India’s West Bengal will compete in 155 events of the two-day meet—102 for the men’s and 53 for the women’s.
The detail of the meet was disclosed by the Bangladesh Masters Athletics Association President Advocate Nuruddin Chowdhury Nayon at a press conference at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Wednesday.
