A source told the Sky News that police investigating the death of Harry Dunn will travel to America to interview the suspect Anne Sacoolas, who left the UK after her car hit and killed 19-year-old Harry Dunn in August.
"The chief constable will speak to the press later and confirm that officers will visit the U.S. and conduct an interview with the suspect," the source said.
Britain has urged the U.S. to reconsider its decision to allow Sacoolas to use her diplomatic immunity to leave.
Earlier this month, U.S. President Donald Trump spoke over phone with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on the issue. Trump told a press conference that his administration would manage the case.
Harry Dunn died in hospital of multiple injuries from the head-on crash of his motorbike with a car on Aug. 27 in Northamptonshire in the East Midlands of England. It was confirmed that the car driver was the spouse of a U.S. diplomat assigned to Britain.
