The newly identified patients will be counted in the coordinated list for all districts scheduled to be announced on Tuesday afternoon in the daily briefing by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The Keraniganj upazila of Dhaka recorded 18 new cases from coronavirus on Monday, taking the total number of infected people in the upazila to 227.
Meanwhile, a Covid-19 patient of Keraniganj lost his battle for life in a hospital in the capital city, taking the death toll here to 8.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Mir Mubarak Hossain confirmed the development around 10pm, adding that they have put the Equria General Hospital under lockdown after one of its health workers tested positive.
In Barishal, three more people were found to be infected with coronavirus on the day, that took the total Covid-19 patients in the district to 44.
The media cell of Barishal District Administration said a nurse of Barishal Sher-e Bangla Medical College Hospital was among the newly identified patients.
In Rajshahi, five people were diagnosed with the disease in tests conducted at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Monday.
According to hospital sources, two of the newly identified patients are from Tanore upazila while two others from Pabna and the remaining one from Natore.
One of the patients of Tanore is a police constable while the other is a cleaner of the police station.
Tanore Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sushanta Kumer Mahato said they were making necessary arrangements to send the duo into isolation.
Tanore OC Rokibul Hasan too confirmed the development.
In Chandpur, the civil surgeon’s office declared three young girls to be infected with coronavirus at noon.
Civil Surgeon Shakhawat Ullah said they sent the samples to the IEDCR in Dhaka and received reports at noon.
All the newly identified patients are from Sadar upazila, he said, adding that they are currently in home-quarantine.
In Shariatpur, four more people tested positive on the day, taking the total confirmed cases in the district to 39.
Dr Abdur Rashid, the civil surgeon, confirmed the development, saying two of the patients are from Gosairhat upazila while the other two are from Sadar and Jazira upazilas.
Bangladesh has so far recorded 10,143 coronavirus cases and 187 deaths.

The virus, first reported in China in December last year, has infected 3,426,711 people and killed 243,795 of them in 187 countries, according to Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.
