“The politics of degradation is destroying the country’s young generation. To save them from it, the youth must be brought back to the politics of development, prosperity, peace and sacrifice,” he said.
GM Quader came up with the remarks while exchanging views with the central leaders of Jatiya Jubo Sanghati, the youth wing of Jatiya Party, at the party chairman’s Banani office.
He said their party wants to give the youth a political platform from where they can engage themselves in the service of the country being imbued with the ideals of positive politics.
“A vacuum has been prevailing in politics, and Jatiya Party has to fill this void. People want to see Jatiya Party as an alternative political force,” Quader said.
He said Jatiya Party will turn into a party of people and activist-friendly one. “Jatiya Party will be owned by its leaders and it won’t be used to protect the interests of a few leaders.”
Speaking at the programme, party secretary general Moshiur Rahman Ranga said they will fix an age limit for their associate bodies, like Chhatra Samaj and Jubo Sanghati. “After a certain age, they’ll be inducted in different posts of Jatiya Party.”
He also said the councils of Jubo Sanghati and Swechchasebak Party must be held by December 10 next through direct voting for electing the new leadership.
