A clinic in Bagerhat was fined Tk 30,000 on Monday after it was found illegally selling free government medicine.
Civil Surgeon Dr KM Humayun Kabir found the medicine being sold at the private Ma Clinic and Diagnostic Centre when he went there for a visit.
Later, a mobile court led by Mollahat Upazila’s executive officer Maffara Tasnin fined the clinic owner Md Kamruzzaman Tk 30,000.

Civil Surgeon Kabir said he saw a huge amount of medicine provided by the government for free during a visit to the clinic.
“We seized the illegal medicine and informed the upazila nirbahi officer for taking legal actions,” he said.
UNO Tasnin said they found 12 types of non-saleable government medicine including injections, tablets and capsules.
