Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) has been providing emergency air transport and medical evacuation assistance in aid under Bangladesh Armed Forces from the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Bangladesh Air Force helicopter MI-171SH air lifted corona-infected Associate Prof Dr Shafiq Ur Rahman of Faridpur Medical College to Dhaka on Monday, said an Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) press release.
Rahman was admitted to Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital in Uttarafor better treatment, it said.
In dealing with all kinds of national crisis and continuing various activities following the policy published by the government to affirm its commitment to meet all emergency needs, BAF always stood by civilians,
In line with this, the Chief of Air Staff provided necessary guidance to carry out the medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) mission.
