“The number of new dengue patients is fewer in the past three days...the more public become conscious the more dengue prevalence will reduce,” he said.
The minister made the remarks at a discussion marking the 44th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman arranged by Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad at National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital in city’s Agargaon.
He mentioned that the city corporation authorities will take new measures to combat dengue menace.
Zahid Maleque further said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has proved that the conspirators are unsuccessful who had thought that killing of Bangabandhu and his family would make the country a puppet state of Pakistan.
“She has turned the pain of losing her family into her power,” said the minister.
“No one will be able to play with the fate of our nation while she (Prime Minister) is our leader,” he added.
