A fire which broke out at a multi-story building in the city's Karwan Bazar area on Sunday morning, has been doused.
Duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room, Russel Shikdar said the fire broke out on the 18th floor of the 19-storey BDBL building around 6 am and spread soon.
On information, four fire fighting units went to the spot and extinguished the blaze around 8 am.
The origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
The extent of loss caused by the fire could not be known yet.
