Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Rabab Fatima officially handed over his appointment letter at a ceremony held at the Nagoya Castle Hotel on Tuesday.
Guests from various sectors, including the governor of Aichi Prefecture Hideaki Omura, Nagoya City Mayor Takashi Kawamura and President of Nagoya University Seiichi Matsuo were present.
Ambassador Fatima expressed her deep satisfaction on the level of cooperation and friendship that Bangladesh and Japan share.
She hoped new horizons of cooperation will be opened between the two countries under the leadership of Mizutani.
The Ambassador thanked the outgoing Honorary Consul Hideo Egawa for his service and dedication to strengthen ties between Bangladesh and Japan.
A video on transformative development of Bangladesh was shown to the audience, said the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo.
The governor of Aichi Prefecture and the Mayor of Nagoya City assured their full support to help elevate the bilateral relations between the two countries to higher trajectory.
Mizutani thanked the government of Bangladesh for appointing him as the Honorary Consul and vowed to extend his full support to strengthen the mutually beneficial relations between Bangladesh and Japan.
