Dhaka, May 5 (UNB) – Ikhtiyar Aslanov, the head of delegation of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Bangladesh, on Sunday met Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at her office in the city.

During the meeting, they discussed the activities of the Red Cross and human rights issues, said a Parliament Secretariat handout.

The Speaker praised the role of the Red Cross in facing disasters and protecting human rights across the world.

Dr Shirin hoped that the organisation will continue its dynamic and effective role in facing disasters in the future as well.
