Satkhira, Nov 4 (UNB) - Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla said his country wants to see the immediate and safe repatriation of all Rohingya from Bangladesh.
The High Commissioner made this remark while inaugurating the Pranab Math at Gazirhat in Debhata upazila.
He said a foreign secretary-level agreement has been signed between Bangladesh and India for the immediate and safe repatriation of all Rohingyas, and that the process will start soon.
Bangladesh introduced itself as a great actor in humanitarian intervention by providing shelter for Rohingyas who fled from Myanmar's Rakhine State after facing a brutal military crackdown, he added.
Ministry of Science and Technology committee president Dr AFM Ruhul Haque and some others spoke on the occasion.
