She expressed the interest during a meeting with State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid at his office on Wednesday.
Welcoming the Indian envoy, the state minister said both Dhaka and New Delhi are working together in a cordial manner for the development of the power and energy sector in Bangladesh.
He noted that the bilateral relations between the two neighbouring nations are getting deeper with the passage of time.
Mentioning that Bangladesh needs huge gas, Nasrul said they also see the import of electricity with a positive outlook.
Both the state minister and the high commissioner widely discussed the potential sectors of bilateral cooperation, including pipeline, gas connection and LNG terminal.
During the meeting, Riva Ganguly also sought Nasrul’s cooperation to implement different government-to-government projects.
First secretary of the Indian High Commission Gowrav Gandhi was also present on the occasion.
