Dhaka, Aug 25 (UNB) – The government will be able to make a list of Razakars very soon, a parliamentary standing committee was told on Sunday.
It was informed that the government has already sent letters to deputy commissioners of all the districts in this regard.
The sixth meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Liberation War Affairs Ministry was held at the Jatiya Sangsad with committee chairman Shajahan Khan in the chair.
“The meeting was informed that letters have already been sent to all the deputy commissioners for making the list of Razakars. It’ll be possible to prepare the list of Razakars very soon,” said a Parliament Secretariat release.
The parliamentary watchdog recommended formulation of the policy to preserve all memories and signs of the Liberation War, including mass killing rounds, properly.
Committee members Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq, Moin Uddin Khan Badal, Rajiuddin Ahmed, Rafiqul Islam, AB Tajul Islam and Kazi Firoz Rashid attended the meeting.
