An open discussion on ‘Mobility in transport management’ was held at Islamic University in Kushtia on Wednesday with a view to mitigating the university’s transport crisis.
Bangladesh Chhatra Union IU unit and Chhatra Moitree jointly organised the programme at Daina Chattar adjacent to the university administrative building around 12:00 noon.
Jamal Hossain, an assistant registrar of IU transport office and its official Abul Khayer, on behalf of transport administrator Professor Rezuanul Islam, addressed the programme.
Chhatra Union IU unit general secretary GK Sadik conducted the programme while its president Nurun Nobi Sobuz, Chhatra Moitree unit president Abdur Rouf and its general secretary Muttasim Billah Pappu, IU BCL unit former assistant secretary Faisal Siddique Arafat, and among others were present.
Addressing the programme, the general students stressed on various transport problems and urged to the university authorities solving the problem.
Around two hundred students of different departments took part in the programme.
