The Prime Minister apprised the President of the outcome of her recent five-day visit to China, he said.
Sheikh Hasina also discussed programmes to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabhandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
She presented a bouquet to Abdul Hamid.
Prime Minister’s daughter Saima Wazed Hossain, among others, accompanied her at the Bangabhaban.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, PM's Principal Secretary Md Nojibur Rahman, President's Secretary Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Shamim-Uz-Zaman and PM's Military Secretary Major General Mia Mohammad Zainul Abedin, among others, were present during the meeting.
The Prime Minister returned home from China on July 6.
During the visit, she attended the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Dalian, held bilateral talks with her Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang and met President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
Sheikh Hasina, also the ruling Awami League chief, attended a series of meetings, including a views-exchange meeting organised by the China chapter of Awami League and its associate bodies.
