Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Wednesday forecast rain over parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 6pm on Wednesday .
“Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions,” said the met office release.
Weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country .
The deep depression over the West-central Bay and adjoining area crossed north Andhra coast of India, weakened into a depression and now lies over Telangana of India.
It is likely to move further west northwestwards and weaken gradually.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across the central part of Bangladesh.
Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature was recorded by 36 degree Celsius at Dinjapur and lowest temperature was recorded by 22.5 degree Celsius at Tetulia today.
Highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded by 42 millimeters(mm) at Khumarkhali.
