Sylhet, Sept 14 (UNB) - Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Friday appreciated Bangladesh’s development in various areas including rooting out extremism by rejecting extremist ideas strongly.
He said Bangladesh has emerged as a courageous society and leaders of the two neighbouring countries–Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Prime Minister Narendra Modi - helped to take the relations to a new height.
The high commissioner said this while addressing the inaugural function of 250-bed five-storey student residential building of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) temple, as the chief guest.
Shringla also said the friendly relations between the two countries are getting deeper day by day.
“Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony. This type of cooperation will continue. We will help Bangladesh in all good works in the future,” he said.
