Two more people, including a minor boy, tested positive for coronavirus in Sreebardi and Jhenaigati upazilas on Thursday, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the district to four.
Dr AKM Anwarur Rauf, civil surgeon of the district, said one of the patients is a 40-year-old driver from Jhenaigati.
The other is a 10-year-old-boy whose grandmother had tested positive for Covid-19 and was undergoing treatment at the isolation unit of Sreebardi Upazila Health Complex.
“Samples taken from them were tested at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. We got the result around 8pm,” he said.
They were taken to isolation units while their areas were put under lockdown, the civil surgeon added.
Bangladesh has so far confirmed 330 coronavirus cases and 21 deaths. Of these, 112 cases and a death were reported on Thursday.
