In Laksam, a seventh grader girl was reportedly raped by a hawker at a house in Laksam Railway Station on Tuesday.
The girl came to visit her friend by train when the hawker Mosleh Uddin Babu beat her friend and took her at a house where he violated her, said Nazim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Laksam Railway Police Station.
Police arrested Mosleh Uddin, 28, son of Abul Hossain of Paikpara in the upazila.
In Debidwar, police arrested a CNG driver for raping an eleven-year-old madrasa girl at Mohammadpur village in Debidwar upazila on Tuesday.
The arrestee was identified as Md Sohel, 24, son of Shafiqul Islam of the village.
Victim’s mother said Sohel raped her minor girl after Eid-ul-Fitr several times and threatened not to disclose the matter to anyone.
The girl told her mother about the matter on Tuesday morning as she felt sick. Victim’s mother filed a case with Debidwar Police Station, said Jahrul Anwar, officer-in-charge of Debidwar Police Station.
According to the case statement, Sohel took the girl to an empty house alluring to give her Tk 20 where he raped her on June 8.
Meanwhile, the girl was taken to Comilla Medical College Hospital for medical test, OC added.
In Homna, a man was arrested over the alleged rape of a class V student in Homna upazila’s Bagmara on Monday.
The victim’s father filed the case against four people with Homna police in the night, said Syed Mohammad Fazle Rabbi, officer-in-charge of the police station.
According to case statement, Jalal Mia, son of Mufti Nuruzzaman of the village, used to regularly harass the primary school student.
On Monday, he forcibly took the girl to his room near the school and raped her while his friend Abu Saleh guarded the house.
Locals rescued the girl hearing her screams but Jalal managed to flee. Saleh was later arrested.
Police sent the victim to Comilla Medical College Hospital for medical tests on Tuesday.
Jalal’s father Nuruzzaman claimed that the rape allegation is false and that it was staged to besmirch him.
