The opening ceremony at BSA’s National Art Gallery where Cultural Affairs minister K M Khalid was present as the chief guest.
This course is aimed to serve enthusiasts in total five sectors- film, fine arts, dramatics, music and choreography.
Chaired by BSA Director Liaquat Ali Lucky, the program was also attended by art-critic Moinuddin Khaled, filmmaker and mentor Zahidur Rahim Anjan, Professor of Jahangirnagar University’s Department of Dramatics Dr Afsar Ahmed along with its Associate Professor Dr Soma Mumtaz and National Music College teacher Komol Khalid.
The classes on specific five sectors will begin on 25th July, with the Film appreciation course.
This 12-day–long course will be jointly directed by Moinuddin Khaled, Zahidur Rahim Anjan and Moinuddin Khaled.
The next course 10-day–long course will be on music which will be mentored by Komol Khalid. Another 10-day course on dance and choreography will be mentored by JU Associate Professor Dr Soma Mumtaz.
The last will be a 15-day theatre appreciation course to be jointly directed by JU’s Department of Dramatics Professors Dr Afsar Ahmed and Abdus Selim.
A graduation ceremony will be held on August 31, where certificates will be provided to the attending participants in these courses.
