The team comprising of 12 players and three officials will represent Bangladesh for the first time in the 8th edition of Men's Indoor Hockey Asia Cup.
“We have finally secured visas of Thailand. Fifteen-member hockey team including 12 players and three officials will fly for Bangkok at 11:25 am,” said hockey federation’s Senior Officer of Media and Communications Kanak Mahmud on Thursday.
The team is expected to return home on July 22.
Bangladesh team have been placed on Pool A alongside holders Iran, Malaysia, Philippines and hosts Thailand.
In the Pool A matches, Bangladesh will play with Malaysia on July 15, holders Iran on July 16. The Philippines on July 17 and hosts Thailand in their last match on July 18.
Earlier, Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) announced the final squad of the National Indoor Hockey Team, comprising 15 players and four officials at a press conference at BAF Falcon Hall in Tejgaon on Wednesday.
